Akognon has been a dominant shooter this season, averaging 23.5 points per game, 36.2 percent on three pointers, and over 88 percent from the free throw line. Some have said that his shooting skills are of NBA caliber, but he definitely needs to improve his passing and point guard skills, since he does not have the size to be a shooting guard. Right now, Akognon averages more turnovers than assists per game, and would have a very difficult time in the NBA as a point guard if he doesn’t learn how to play the position.
