Developing an International Post Player Developing an International Post Player The game of basketball has changed and specifically the post position has changed. Unfortunately, too many coaches have not changed with this new basketball world. Sticking the tallest basketball player on your team underneath the basket is no longer acceptable .Playing the post position in today’s game requires that a post player do more than just “post up”. The rest of the world has caught up with American basketball because they have developed all-around Big Men who can pass, shoot, dribble, run the floor, in addition to having a traditional post game. Look at the landscape of the NBA and you’ll see top teams with International Stars like Pau Gasul (Lakers), Dirk Nowitzki (Mavericks), Tim Duncan (Spurs), and others. There just hasn’t been the teaching done in the U.S. to develop International style post players whose games are multi-dimensional. Now for the first time, if you are a coach, player, or parent of a big man, you can get a Post Player workout with proven techniques that will develop all the necessary areas of your game that will make you play like an International Big Man. You will be making passes out of the double teams, scoring from the Mid-Post, dominating the Low-Post, scoring with either hand in the lane, and knocking down the three point shot. Think of the possibilities once you develop all these areas of your game. You will score more points. You will make your teammates better - As a Post Player. Advanced Basketball Trainer Ganon Baker has traveled the world teaching basketball and has vast international basketball experience. From his experiences, Ganon has developed the Fab 5 - 5 things you must have in order to succeed on a global level in the game of basketball as a post player. Ganon has worked with top Big Men in the Pros and College ranks teaching the same skills you will get on the DVD. Imagine using the most innovative and fresh post drills in your workouts. How much better will you get?

Ellis injury required surgery on August 27th and was informed of his suspension later. Ellis lied to the executive of the Warriors Chris Mullin by saying he was injured in a pick-up game in his hometown Mississippi but later on it was revealed that he was injured in a moped accident. With these declarations the Warriors franchise decided that after lying and then violating the contract which details in the paragraph 12 that a player cannot be involved “in any activity that a reasonable person would recognize as involving or exposing the participant to a substantial risk of bodily injury,” including “driving or riding a motorcycle or moped,” Ellis will be suspended for a total of 30 games. The suspension of the 30 games will follow immediately counting the preseason games and will end before the regular season game on December 17. This way, Ellis will not get paid for at least three months, losing vaguely less than $3 million of his profitable contract. This represents just a little am …

The desirable outcome of a plyometrics program, when done alongside strength and sport-specific skills training regimens, can greatly improve an athlete’s performance during a match. Because of the numerous benefits of this form of training, more and more people have incorporated plyometric drills into their regular work out routine for basketball. 1) Skier This drill is designed to improve quickness, foot speed, physical condition, and explosiveness. It begins with two sets each, within a 30-second duration. A 30-second rest period is allotted between each set. As an athlete’s skill progresses, increase the duration of each drill to 1 minutes per set. The drill can be performed on the court, in a field, or even on a residential lawn. Begin with both feet apart and bent slightly at the knees. Then jump sideways as quickly as possible, back and forth, in a skiing motion and at a distance of about 6 to 8 inches.
